Dr. John Stagg is a Professor at Université de Montréal and Lab Head at Centre de recherche du Centre hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal (CRCHUM).
An established cancer immunologist, Dr. Stagg holds a Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) New Investigator Award, the Jean-Guy Sabourin Research Chair in the Faculty of Pharmacy at Université de Montréal and has published over 100 research articles. Dr. Stagg is known for having identified the ecto-nucleotidase CD73 as a novel target in immuno-oncology, sparking interest to develop therapeutic agents targeting the extracellular adenosine pathway. Dr. Stagg co-leads with Dr. Ian Watson the Montreal Cancer Consortium and has been implicated in creation of the Terry Fox Research Institute Marathon of Hope Cancer Centres Network.
