FRQS Cancer Research Network, TFRI and QCC joint symposium
On September 23, 2022, the RR Cancer, the QCC and the TFRI-Québec Node jointly hosted a biennial symposium at the Pierre-Péladeau Amphitheatre at CHUM. This hybrid event brought together 308 participants from McGill University, Université de Montréal, Université Laval, Université de Sherbrooke, CR-CHUM, RI-MUHC, Lady Davis Institue/JGH, HMR, CHU St-Justine. One hundred five (105) trainees presented their work in 12 oral, 30 poster and 63 virtual poster presentations. Eight new investigators and 12 trainees, including QCC investigators and trainees, presented their work in full or rapid-fire talks. The event was concluded with a keynote presentation from Dr. Elaine Mardis, co-Executive Director of the Steve and Cindy Rasmussen Institute for Genomic Medicine at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, on genomics-guided precision medicine for pediatric cancers.
