He is also a principal scientist at the Institut du cancer de Montr\u00e9al of the Centre de recherche du centre hospitalier de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de Montr\u00e9al (CRCHUM).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Trained as a microbiologist, Dr. Francis Rodier focused his doctoral research on carcinogenesis, obtaining a PhD in molecular biology (Universit\u00e9 de Montr\u00e9al \u2013 2005). He completed his post-doctoral studies at the University of Berkeley and Buck Institute for Age Research in California on DNA damage and inflammation, further developing his interest in DNA repair, oncology and aging.
